What is a Registered Massage Therapist?
To become registered, also known as an "RMT", you have to obtain extensive curriculum training to make sure the level of care provided is consistent with all other registered practitioners. In Alberta, the standard is 2,200 hours of formal training to become a member of the Massage Therapists Association of Alberta (MTAA).
Body Tech Therapeutic Massage Inc., is also a proud member of Natural Health Practitioners of Canada Association (NHPC).
Communication is key
At Body Tech Therapeutic Massage Inc., we discuss your health history and assess your needs as a patient before beginning treatment to make sure you get appropriate and personalized massage therapy. Don’t be shy to ask your massage therapist any questions both before and during the session, especially in regards to preferred pressure, so we can make sure your treatment can be comfortable and effective.
